Mandates of the Unit

General Mandate

The general mandate of the University Quality Management System Unit is to provide directional leadership on the management and sustenance of the University’s Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System Standards.

Specific Mandates

The University Quality Management System Unit has the following specific functions:

  1. Monitors and evaluates (audits) and provides support on the compliance to standards and statutory regulations required under the quality management system at all levels of the university and external stakeholders;
  2. Coordinates and facilitates the dissemination of knowledge and information, the conduct of internal and external audit, the preparation and submission of reportorial requirements both to internal and external parties;
  3. Extends support and assistance on formulating strategies, policies and procedures, and systems for the university’s continual improvement and sustaining its integrated management system certification and enhancement; and
  4. Perform such other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Vice President for Planning & Quality Assurance or as may be required by law.
